Second pothole on Ironworkers Bridge causing traffic delays on North Shore Thursday – B.C.

Potholes are causing a nightmare on and off the North Shore once again Thursday night.
Repairs to a southbound pothole at the north end of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge that caused major traffic delays on Wednesday are now causing backups for Thursday’s commute.
According to AM730, a plate fitted to cover the pothole would cause punctures and huge delays to Westview Drive.
Meanwhile, a second pothole, located southbound at the south end of the bridge, is adding to the delays.
Video on social media shows vehicles backing up for blocks along Old Dollarton Road before the on-ramp to the bridge.
On Wednesday, DriveBC said the center lane on the east side of the bridge was blocked and crews were at the scene to witness the damage.
Chunks of concrete could also be seen in a work yard directly below the section being repaired.
