The search for a missing three-year-old child in the Binbrook Conservation Area ended tragically with the girl’s death.
Hamilton Police said on Twitter on Saturday night that they were looking for Zahra Ousmane who went missing from the Harrison Road Conservation Area. Police released a photo of the girl along with her description – dark hair in a bun, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts – asking anyone who spots her to call the police.
Shortly before 10 p.m., police released an update saying the three-year-old had been found. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
“Our hearts go out to his family for their tragic loss,” police said.
Police remain in the area as they investigate his death.
