Saskatoon police charge two men after dangerous driving and firearms incident – Saskatoon

Two men have been charged after the Saskatoon Police Department said a vehicle failed to stop for them Thursday night.

Officers said they attempted a traffic stop near the intersection of 22nd Street and Avenue P around 7:15 p.m.

The driver did not stop and drove off at high speed.

The Air Support Unit followed the vehicle, which made a brief stop in the 100 block of Circle Drive, where a 25-year-old man was arrested and found carrying a loaded sawed-off shotgun.

The vehicle fled out of town towards Krydor, where the 26-year-old suspect attempted to flee on foot, but was arrested.

The 25-year-old faces six firearms charges and one breach of conditions charge.

The 26-year-old is charged with dangerous driving, evading police and driving a vehicle while prohibited.
