Russian offensive descends on Donbass as West rushes to supply Ukraine with more weapons

PAVLOHRAD, Ukraine — Russian forces made further gains on Wednesday in their offensive in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine, as Western nations rushed to bring more weapons to the Ukrainian army under -armament.
