Rogers outage today results in service outage

Many Rogers customers in Ontario are reporting mobile and internet outages early Friday morning.
Both Toronto Police and Peel Police tweeted that Rogers was experiencing technical difficulties and the outage was impacting customers’ ability to call 9-1-1. Others reported the outage affecting banking services.
Service tracking from search engine optimization firm Criterion Digital also indicates that many people are experiencing service outages across the province, even extending into southern Ontario and Quebec.
Many users have taken to social media for information about the outages.
CTV News Toronto has contacted Rogers for a statement on the outages, but has yet to receive a response.
