Robinhood shares soar on takeover hopes

Robin Hood Shares of Markets Inc. surged on Monday following reports that cryptocurrency exchange FTX is investigating a potential acquisition of the brokerage.

The shares soared as much as 21% and closed up 14% at $9.12. The stock, which was briefly halted due to volatility, has fallen 49% this year and briefly traded at around $80 in August.
