Rivière des Mille Îles: the small remains of the baby found


The one-month-old baby missing after the vehicle in which he was with his mother and little sister sank in the Rivière des Mille-Îles in Laval on Friday evening, was found on Monday morning.

Police officers and firefighters from Laval, as well as teams from the Sûreté du Québec went to the scene Monday morning to begin a fourth day of research.

A boat and a drone were used to locate the baby, who was found around 10:30 a.m. near the scene of the accident, according to agent Geneviève Major, spokesperson for the Laval police department.

Remember that the mother and the little girl who were also in the vehicle are still hospitalized.

An investigation is still underway to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
