RFK Jr. accuses the director of the CDC ousted with lies on the pressure of the recommendations of the prior vaccine

Washington – The Secretary of Health and Social Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., denied having put pressure on the ousted director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the recommendations for preappropriate vaccination of a panel which he revised before his dismissal.

Susan Monarez was licensee From the post less than a month after his confirmation of the Senate. In an opinion article in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Monarez said that Kennedy “pressure me to resign or face a termination” at a meeting of August 25.

“One of the disturbing guidelines for this meeting over a week ago: I was told to pre-carry the recommendations of a vaccination panel newly filled with people who have publicly expressed antivaccin rhetoric,” she wrote.

The play was published shortly before Kennedy testified before the Senate financing committeeWhere he faced difficult questions about his vaccination policies.

“I didn’t tell her that,” Kennedy told Democratic Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon. “I have never had a private meeting with her. Other witnesses of each meeting we have, and all these witnesses will say, I never said that.”

“So she is lying today to the American people of the Wall Street Journal?” Wyden asked.

“Yes, sir,” said Kennedy.

Later, Kennedy told Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia that he had not asked Monarez to accept the recommendations of the panel without any other examination of career scientists at the CDC.

“I told her that I didn’t want her to have a rule that she will not sign,” Kennedy said when he was asked if he had told Monarez to accept the recommendations.

At another time of the hearing, Kennedy said he had asked Monarez to resign “because I asked him:” Are you a trustworthy person? “And she said no.”

In a statement Thursday afternoon, Monarez lawyers said Kennedy’s claims were “false, and sometimes obviously ridiculous”.

“The DRE Monarez is due to what she said in her editorial in the Wall Street Journal, would repeat everything under oath and continue to support the vision it described during her confirmation audience that science will control her decisions,” said lawyers Mark Zaid and Abbe Lowell.

In June, Kennedy deleted Each member of the advisory committee for vaccination practices, a government panel that makes vaccine recommendations. At the time, he said he “had become a little more than a rubber stamp for any vaccine”. He then appointed Several members of the panel, including skeptics of vaccines, bypassing the usual CDC practice to select medical and public health experts.

The newly constituted ACIP should meet later this month to consider vaccine recommendations. In his editorial, Monarez wrote that “(i) t is imperative that the recommendations of the panel are not stamped in rubber but are rather examined rigorously and scientifically before being accepted or rejected.”

After the dismissal of Monarez, several other senior CDC officials resignedCiting the position of the Trump administration on vaccines, which they found disturbing and budget cuts.
