Residents missing in rural house fire near Bancroft

Provincial police say the owners are still missing following a house fire last week in the rural township of Carlow-Mayo, just east of Bancroft.

Emergency crews were called around 1:30 p.m. on November 4 to the fire on Whytes Road, northeast of Bancroft, Ontario.

The house was on fire when paramedics arrived.
The residents were not at the scene and remain missing, an Ontario Provincial Police spokesperson said Tuesday.
The family has not been identified. It is not believed that children were present.
The police did not identify the people
The Ontario Provincial Police’s Crime and Forensic Identity Units, along with the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal, are investigating the fire.
