relatives of Joyce Echaquan claim $ 2.7 million

The relatives of Joyce Echaquan filed a civil lawsuit today against the CISSS de Lanaudière and two employees who were present at her death. Beyond compensatory damages, the lawsuit seeks punitive damages against the nurse who made the remarks recorded in the video and the doctor who took care of Joyce Echaquan. The total claimed is $2.7 million.
