RCMP say a 19-year-old woman died after being hit by a train in Banff, Alberta.

BANFF, Alta. – According to the RCMP in Alberta, a 19-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a Canadian Pacific train.
Police said they were encroaching on the CP main line in the town of Banff on Thursday when they were hit.
They say investigators believe the young woman may not have heard the train approaching, as she was wearing in-ear headphones.
RCMP say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
They say the railroad is now clear.
