Raid of Surrey, B.C. convenience store reveals large amount of drugs and cash – BC

Large quantities of drugs and approximately $150,000 were seized by Surrey RCMP investigators during a search of a convenience store.
Officers carried out a search warrant on August 30, 2022 at a business in the 10200 block of City Parkway in Surrey.

« The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation focused on criminal activity due to numerous drug trafficking complaints and violent incidents, related to illicit drug trafficking in the vicinity of the store, » Const said. . Sarbjit Sangha.
« (An) investigation led police to believe the business was being used to facilitate drug trafficking in the area. »
Police seized 203 grams of fentanyl, 38 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of cocaine, 300 hydromorphone tablets, 278 grams of cannabis and $150,000.

Surrey RCMP said investigators « will recommend charges against at least four (persons) of trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking in an illicit substance ».
