Quebec police are looking for a missing man after a vehicle was taken away in the Saguenay region


SAINT-HENRI-DE-TAILLON, Que. – Quebec provincial police say they are looking for a man in his 60s who is missing after a road collapse in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region north of Quebec.

Police say the man was driving one of the two vehicles on a gravel road around 6am when it was flooded with water from a nearby stream after overnight heavy rain.

sergeant. Hugues Beaulieu indicates that the vehicle of the disappeared was found unoccupied, about 600 meters from the place where the road collapsed.

A police helicopter and divers were deployed to the scene today, along with foot search officers.

The driver of the second vehicle managed to get to safety.

He was taken to hospital but released after being treated for minor injuries.
