Provinces did not report on the results of health transfers
Health funds set to come with strings attached Dec. 17
The Star is right about the need for agreement on outcomes and transparency in health care funding.
Prime ministers and health ministers must be suffering from amnesia; in 2016-17, they negotiated 10-year health agreements with Ottawa, which included increased global transfers, as well as targeted investments for home care and mental health care based on the joint statement on shared priorities.
After five years, there has been no public reporting on how the funds were used and (on) the results achieved.
