Police search for driver after woman killed in Mississauga-Toronto hit-and-run

Peel Regional Police say they are looking for the driver wanted in a fatal hit-and-run accident which claimed the life of a woman.
Emergency crews were called to Tomken and Britannia roads around 5.35am Thursday to reports of a collision involving pedestrians.
Police say a vehicle hit a woman and then drove off.
Peel paramedics said they transported a woman to a local hospital where she later died.
Paramedics did not have the woman’s exact age, but said she was ‘elderly’.
Investigators said the suspect vehicle drove south on Tomken Road.
The area has been closed for investigation as police collect evidence.
