Police recover body of man found floating in New York’s East River

The body of a man was found floating in the East River on Saturday, authorities said.

Police found the body of an unidentified man in his 40s off East 41st Street and FDR Drive around 1 p.m., the NYPD said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances of his death, or how he ended up in the water, were not immediately known.
