Police charge suspect in May 2021 homicide: Winnipeg – Winnipeg


Winnipeg police have charged someone with homicide in May 2021.

The victim was Princeton Xavier Linden Upshaw, 30.

At 2:30 p.m. on May 23, police were called to the first block of Henry Avenue to a report of a seriously injured man.

Upshaw received emergency first aid, but died of his injuries.

The investigation continued and police identified a suspect.

In November, 10 investigators attended Milner Ridge Correctional Center and arrested the suspect for second degree murder.

Winnipegger Leslie Boyd Cook, 27, has been charged and remains in custody.
