Pedestrian with fatal injuries after collision in east Toronto: police

A woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Toronto on Friday night, police say.

In a tweet, Toronto police said they responded to an incident in the Queen Street East and Orchard Park Boulevard area near Woodbine Park around 10:36 p.m.

Police say a pedestrian was struck and the driver remained at the scene.

Toronto paramedics took a woman to hospital after the incident with life-threatening injuries, officers said.

Queen Street was closed immediately after Friday night’s incident.
