Pedestrian hit by car in critical condition

A forty-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the Saint-Pierre district of Lachine.

Phone calls to 911 reported a serious accident at the intersection of rue Saint-Jacques and avenue Saint-Pierre around noon. According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the man suffered serious injuries to the upper body.

Police officer Julien Lévesque reports that the Urgences-santé services “quickly took care of the victim” and transported the man to a hospital center, where his condition was deemed critical. The SPVM is “awaiting an official report from the medical authorities”.

The police are continuing to analyze the accident scene. The SPVM recommends avoiding this area where traffic is disrupted.
