Over 2,500 members, 3,900 arrests made under Shakti 5.0 mission in UP

More than 2,500 FIRs were recorded and nearly 3,900 people arrested in the Uttar Pradesh as part of the Shakti 5.0 Mission campaign, launched the first day of Navratra by chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, officials announced on Saturday.

The campaign aims to empower women by promoting self -sufficiency, social inclusion and security. Under the campaign on a state -of -scale campaign, the police have intensified efforts to improve women’s safety and strengthen public confidence, the Uttar Pradesh government said in a statement.

The additional director general (ADG) (Women’s Safety Eagle) Padmaja Chauhan, the nodal mission officer Shakti, said that anti-romeo teams have increased surveillance in public spaces, including temples, markets, shopping centers and parks.

During the campaign, the police inspected 1,08,292 temples and other public locations, checked 9.77 Lakh and recorded 2,542 FIR. Up to 3,972 people were arrested for anti -social behavior, while 3.13 Lakh received warnings and advisable on the driving of the public.

Preventive measures were taken against 53,237 people through the state. Police also inspected 55,377 Pandals Navratra and 4,947 Ramleela and Fair sites to ensure security and order.

In total, 37,337 police staff were deployed on temples, religious sites and public places, including 411 gas officers, 7,999 inspectors and sub-players, and 22,547 chief and chief agents, according to the press release.

The government said that female boats were organized in 39,911 temples, fairs and public sites, attracting more than 20.5 participants. Information equipment has also been distributed to raise awareness of the security and empowerment of women.
