The province said Sunday’s numbers do not represent the full scope of hospitalizations, as more than 10% of hospitals do not provide weekend updates.

Ontario also reported 57 new deaths related to COVID-19.

The number of new cases rose by 5,833, although Public Health Ontario said the number of new infections is likely higher due to a current policy limiting access to testing.

A total of 371 long-term care homes have an active outbreak, up from 368 the day before.

The province says 50.1% of Ontarians age 18 and older have received a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 82.9% of residents age five and older have received two shots.
