One in hospital after Stony Plain Road structure fire on Saturday morning

One person has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a building along Stony Plain Road on Sunday morning, firefighters said.
Edmonton Fire and Rescue Services (EFRS) said a call came in at 4:54 a.m. Sunday reporting a fire near 149th Street and 94th Avenue. The teams were on site five minutes later. The fire was later escalated into a second alarm fire, an EFRS spokeswoman added.

The fire was deemed under control at 6:47 a.m. but was still considered « active » at 2:10 p.m. Crews remained on site Saturday afternoon.
