One dead after tank truck overturns on Anthony Henday Drive

One person died after a tank truck overturned on Anthony Henday Drive on Friday afternoon.

RCMP said they responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Anthony Henday Drive, just north of the Highway 14 overpass at 1:17 p.m.

An initial investigation determined that the tanker driver was heading south, swerved, lost control, entered the ditch and rolled.

The 39-year-old man from Leduc who was driving the tanker truck was taken to hospital where he later died.

Strathcona County RCMP continue to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
