Olivia O’Brien says she never dated Pete Davidson after claiming he cut things off with her via text message in 2020.

“The media takes the things I said in an interview (after asking a VERY specific question) in a way [sic] out of context,” she wrote in an Instagram story on Friday. « I never claimed to be dating anyone. Stop trying to start some weird drama about me by texting someone 2 years ago. Jesus Christ. »

The singer, 28, followed up with a second Instagram story, where she turned off the camera, urging people to « watch the f-king interview or shut your fucking mouth. »

O’Brien wasn’t the only one closing her own claims.

Davidson’s rep told Page Six on Wednesday, “There’s no truth to it. They were friends and hung out several times.

The « Josslyn » singer addressed rumors that Davidson ended things with her to pursue a relationship with « Bridgerton » star Phoebe Dynevor on Wednesday’s episode of the « BFFs » podcast.

In the podcast interview, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy read the initial rumour, shared by celebrity gossip account Two Me, which claimed: ‘I know for sure that pete and phoebe are actually an item .

« He ended things with the B-list popstar/influencer he had previously seen for Phoebe. »

O’Brien told Portnoy she didn’t think « anyone knew about this », saying it happened « a long time ago ». Despite the alleged breakup, she still thought he was a « nice guy. »

« He’s sexy and he’s really funny, » she added. « And he’s really nice. He’s a really lovely guy.

Although « The King of Staten Island » star and Dynevor never officially confirmed their relationship, they were spotted together several times between April and June 2021. They called it quits in July of that year.

He then dated Kim Kardashian after hosting « SNL » in the fall of 2021.
