Olivia Newton-John: John Travolta, others pay tribute to him
Grammy-winning singer and actress Olivia Newton-John died Monday at age 73.
The star, best known for his appearance in the film adaptation of « Grease, » died on his ranch in Southern California, his husband John Easterling wrote on social media.
« Olivia has been a beacon of triumphs and hope for over 30 years, sharing her journey with breast cancer, » he said, asking « that everyone respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time. »
His « Grease » co-star John Travolta also took to Instagram following news of his death.
« My dearest Olivia, » Travolta wrote, « you’ve made our lives so much better. Your impact has been incredible. I love you so much. We’ll see you on the road again and we’ll all be together again. Moment I t I saw and forever! Your Danny, your John! »
Others, including Viola Davis, the late Janis Joplin’s social media account, Cyndi Lauper and Rod Stewart also posted tributes to Olivia Newton-John:
