Nse, Tata Memorial Center join you to build the largest bone marrow transplant installation in India

The India National Stock Exchange (NSE), within the framework of its corporate social responsibility initiative (CSR), joined forces with the Tata Memorial Center (TMC) to build a new multi -specialized hospital block of 11 floors and a transplant of bone marrow (BMT) of the Actrec Mumbai campus.

The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the project took place on Sunday.

The new hospital will be one of the largest care facilities against cancer in the country, with a bone marrow transplant center of 60 beds – the largest in India and among the most important in South Asia.

The project, covering 2.4 Lakh Pi.
Once finished, the center will treat around 1.3 lakh external each year and perform more than 600 bone marrow transplants each year, offering care without care or at very low cost for patients in need.

Actrec, created by the Tata Memorial Center, an autonomous institution of the Atomic Energy Department (DAE), a government of India, was a pioneer in the provision of affordable cancer care and advanced treatment to patients from all over the country.

In addition to serving as a bone marrow transplantation center, the new hospital block will also work as a unit of external consultation department (OPD) for the entire Actrec campus, where three additional buildings are provided for treatment and research on cancer.

The project received the final environmental authorization on September 11 and a certificate at the start of CIDCO construction on October 1.
