Nissan urges its partner Renault to sell its stake

Nissan Motor Co. is a pressing partner Renault SA to sell part of its stake in the Japanese automaker as part of a big deal to revamp its more than two-decade-old alliance with the French automaker, according to people familiar with the talks.

Senior Renault and Nissan executives have shuttled between Japan and France to work out details of the plan with the aim of announcing a deal as early as November, some people said.
