TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s Nissan Motor Co plans to invest up to 15% in Renault SA’s electric vehicle (EV) unit, the Kyodo news agency reported on Thursday, as the two companies negotiate a overhaul of their decades-old partnership.
Japanese and French automakers said this month they were in talks over the future of their alliance, including Nissan which could invest in Renault’s spin-off electric vehicle business.
