Recall that on December 8, 2022, TMZ reported that Carter, 43, was being sued by Shannon Ruth for sexual assault.
The alleged events allegedly took place in 2001 and involve a woman with autism and cerebral palsy. She was 17 at the time.
According to new documents obtained by TMZ, Nick Carter is suing the woman for US$2.35 million, alleging that the plaintiff caused the group to lose that amount.
The singer is also suing Melissa Schuman, a former pop star of the group Dream who accused him of rape in 2017.
Countersuit claims alleged victims are ‘opportunists’ who want to ‘destroy innocent lives’, according to PEOPLE Magazine.
“Nick is the target of a malicious and endless plot. He never committed the acts of which he is accused; moreover, he is the victim of a disinformation campaign created to destroy his reputation, ”said his lawyer, Michael Holtz, to TMZ.
The media would have tried to have a comment from the lawyers of the alleged victim, but remains unanswered.
