« NHL 23 »: Juraj Slafkovsky’s note revealed

The first overall pick in the latest National Hockey League (NHL) amateur draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, has been awarded a 78 rating in the latest version of EA Sports’ « NHL » video game.

This was revealed by the company that designed « NHL 23 » on Wednesday in a post on Twitter.

The new Montreal Canadiens forward will thus be one of the best-rated rookies to start the season. He also shares the same note as a certain Shane Wright, whom many would have liked to see in Montreal, before he tumbled into the hands of the Seattle Kraken, fourth in the draft.

Buffalo Sabers defender Owen Power, the very first choice of the 2021 auction, the edition preceding that of Slafkovsky, for his part received the score of 82.

Caufield among the best youngsters

It looks like Cole Caufield’s electrifying end to the 2021-22 season has impressed the video game developer, who have given the little winger an 84 rating.

It’s a one-point move up from an 83 overall in the previous version of the game. Picked with the 15th-overall talk in 2019, Caufield flourished with Martin St-Louis at the position of head coach, he who concluded the campaign with 35 points in 37 games after the arrival of the instructor.

This rating of 84 earns him a place among the 10 best players under 23 in the game.

The popular hockey game, however, is not yet available on store shelves. It will only be on October 14.
