Nets owner condemns Kyrie Irving’s promotion of movie based on book filled with ‘anti-Semitic misinformation’
Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai condemned The apparent promotion of Kyrie Irving of an anti-Semitic film on Twitter.
Thursday, the The Brooklyn guard shared an Amazon link to a movie called « Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America ».

« I’m disappointed that Kyrie seems to support a movie based on a book full of anti-Semitic misinformation, » Tsai said on Twitter. « I want to sit down and make sure he understands that it hurts us all and that as a man of faith it is wrong to promote hatred based on race, ethnicity or religion.

The film is said to be based on a 2015 book filled with anti-Semitic material embraced by radical Black Hebrew Israelites.

The Nets organization issued a statement condemning « hate speech » ahead of Tsai’s statement.

Irving’s apparent promotion of the film comes days after Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald have announced they are leaving Donda Sports, founded by the entertainer formerly known as Kanye West.

Their decisions came after Adidas announced the company would end its relationship with West after the artist made anti-Semitic statements.

« Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism and any other type of hate speech, » the company said in a statement. « Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness. »
