Naval training on Okanagan Lake ends, military crews return to CFB Esquimalt – Okanagan
A five-day military training exercise on Okanagan Lake ended the same day the Canadian Forces Snowbirds soared overhead, entertaining large crowds in Kelowna.
On Saturday, the Department of National Defense said a naval security team conducting three-boat navigation and tactical training was returning to its home base on Vancouver Island.
According to the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), the team is based in Esquimalt and is specially trained to provide additional land and sea security to deployed naval assets.
