NASA, Blue Origin invites Media to attend Mars Mission Launch

NASA and blue origin reopening media accreditation for the launch of the Escapade mission (Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers). The double getaway spaceship will study the interaction of the solar wind with Mars, providing an overview of the real -time response from the planet to spatial time and how solar activity leads to an atmospheric escape. It will be the second launch of the new Glenn rocket by Blue Origin.

The media interested in covering the launching activities of getaways must request information to identify the media. The media that previously requested media identification information for the launch of getaways do not need to reapply.

American media and American citizens representing international media must apply before 11:59 p.m. ESP on Monday, October 13. Media accreditation requests must be submitted online at: https://media.ksc.nasa.gov.

Blue Origin later targeted this fall for the launch of the second mission of New Glenn (NG-2) of the Space Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force in Florida. The accredited media will have the opportunity to participate in media activities of pre -relitation and to cover the launch. Once the specific launch date has been targeted, NASA and blue origin communicate additional details concerning the multimedia event calendar.

NASA will publish updates to the launch preparations for Twin Martian orbiters on the Escapade blog.

The Escapade mission is part of the innovative missions program for missions for the planetary exploration of NASA and is funded by the agency’s heliophysical division. The mission is led by the University of California, the Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory and Rocket Lab has designed the spacecraft. The agency’s launch services program, based at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida, has obtained launch services as part of the VADR contract (acquisition of classification of the venture capital class.
