Nancy Grace Helps Investigators Find Missing California Woman: ‘It Was A Horrible Ordeal’

Fox Nation host Nancy Grace is credited with helping officials find a missing California woman after she covered the disappearance of 24-year-old Aeris Hammock on her show « Crime Stories. »

Grace featured Hammock’s father on her show to help investigators, and after putting him in touch with USPA national security rescue expert Brian Fitzgibbons, the couple created a whistleblower line that eventually solved the case about Hammock’s whereabouts.

« I thank God that Nancy covered this case, » Fitzgibbons told « Fox & Friends » on Thursday. « It was so important to locating Aeris and keeping this story alive in the local media. We were able to help through investigative means to provide support to the Sacramento PD, as well as the Hammack family. »

« But I think the key ingredient here was keeping that story alive, and Nancy’s show really brought the investigation to life, » he continued.

Hammock disappeared in Sacramento on Dec. 9 after leaving his parents’ house in his gray Mustang.

When she didn’t return home that night, her parents began to search for answers.

« They knew something was terribly wrong, » Grace said.

Hammock’s car was found at nearby Gunther’s Ice Cream shortly after his disappearance with all of his belongings inside, including his wallet, cellphone and keys.

She was found safely, according to police, on December 14.

« It’s a happy ending, » Grace said. « She was found in a very questionable place, and there are a lot of factors in her disappearance and her discovery. And I can tell you this, she’s been through a lot mentally and emotionally. »

« She, along with her family, is trying to recover, » she continued. « It was a horrible ordeal. »
