Names Paramount Shannon Buck Head of DTC Communications

Cindy Holland continues to fulfill her team with Paramount’s Direct to Consumer Division.

The director of public relations, Shannon Buck, joined the company as an executive vice-president and responsible for communications and public relations at Paramount Direct to Consumer, which includes paramount + and Pluto TV streamers. She comes paramount from Nbcuniversal, where she was recently integrated communications vice-president.

“Shannon is an experienced strategic communication leader with more than 20 years of advertising and communications for content on all platforms, specializing in public engagement directly to the consumer and the creation of brands,” Holland wrote in an email to staff on Monday (read it in full, below). “It has proven itself in the development of award -winning campaigns, with particular expertise in strategies that stimulate the acquisition and retention of subscribers.”

Before joining NBCU, Buck spent six years in Netflix, raising the advertising of the VP series to the streamer (and overlapping Holland time). She also worked at Starz and the public relations agency Ferencomm.

I am delighted to share that Shannon Buck will officially join the team from tomorrow, as EVP, communications manager and public relations for Paramount to Consumer. His surveillance will include global communications and advertising strategy for our business. Shannon is an experienced strategic communication leader with more than 20 years of advertising and communications for content on all platforms, specializing in public commitment to the consumer and brand creation. It has proven itself in the development of award -winning campaigns, with particular expertise in strategies that stimulate the acquisition and retention of subscribers.

She joins us in Nbcuniversal where she was recently responsible for integrated communications in all their television and studio groups, coordinating campaigns through several entertainment brands in a single business structure. She began as advertising manager for Peacock where she directed the efforts of the deserved media for their slate, including insertion Love island in the cultural zeitgeist and leading critical success and consumers to Treatments. She succeeded in Netflix six years where she helped build and structure the team during the rapid growth of the organization and demonstrated a particular success in the international coordination of campaigns and the scale of the teams for innovation.
