Motorcyclist dead after crash on Calgary ring road: police – Calgary

The Calgary Police Department is investigating an accident on Stoney Trail Wednesday night that left one person dead.

Police say the collision happened around 6:45 p.m. near 17th Avenue SE and involved a motorcycle and an SUV. They said the person riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said northbound Stoney Trail, where the crash happened, will remain closed until a traffic investigation is complete.
