A 40-year-old Mississauga high school teacher is facing charges of sexual exploitation involving a young person.

Daniel Hayes of Guelph was charged after the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit alleged that the accused invited the youth to have sex with him on multiple occasions between September and November 2019.

The teenager refused, and on June 20, Hayes was arrested and charged and held for a bail hearing.
