A missile strike hit military infrastructure in the Lviv region of western Ukraine on Sunday morning, regional governor Maxim Kozitsky said in a message on the Telegram messaging app.

“Four enemy missiles hit one of the military infrastructures in the Lviv region,” Kozitsky said. “The object is completely destroyed. According to the first information, there are no victims. No one asked for medical help.

Reuters was unable to independently verify the information and there was no immediate response from Moscow.

The Regional Air Command “Western” of the Ukrainian Air Force said in a social media post that several missiles were fired from the Black Sea at the Lviv region. Two of the missiles were destroyed before hitting targets, he added.
