Miley Cyrus to reach “something beautiful”

Miley Cyrus was in the public’s eyes for most of her life, and even if you may know her music, don’t think you really know her.

Asked what it is to spend life and make you think of foreigners they know, Cyrus replied: “I love my life, so I never really did – I haven’t done too many things that are negative on this subject, because there is so many great things. But I would say one of the things I don’t like and that I don’t like it so much. So, it’s difficult.”

His ninth album may not be what you expect either. In “Something Beautiful”, Cyrus extends artistically. As a critic said, the album takes him from Pop Princess to the artist heritage. It’s quite a jump, even for someone with music in their blood.

Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus Purcell, is a producer. Dad is the star of the country Billy Ray Cyrus. His godmother? Dolly Parton.

Miley Cyrus lived with the royalty of showbiz, and that hoarse voice, all his life: “I looked like that since I was little. My father used to make country singers at home, and George Jones would be, you know, pleasant that I had smoked cigarettes or that I launched all night, you know, even when I was four.”

At 13, she was suddenly famous after being presented as “Hannah Montana”, in the Disney Channel series on a girl who was a typical teenager during the day and a night pop star. It is a role of which she is always proud: “I love her. She is everything. I would have nothing, none of this-I mean, maybe I could have understood it, maybe I could walk from Nashville, Tennessee, in Los Angeles. I don’t know. But she loved her much further, and better, and I put for the life that I now.

The years that followed “Hannah Montana” were a little less healthy. His 2013 MTV Music Video Awards performances were welcomed by shock and indignation, especially among mothers of young children who had grown up looking at her as a Disney star.

I asked: “There were mothers trying, I guess, to cancel you?”

“Yeah. I was the first person to be canceled, I suppose.”

“How would you describe this period of your life?”

“Well, you know, I did not know until I was older in fact how really brutal it was,” said Cyrus. “It was very, I guess, you know, difficult for others. But for me, it was a good time. It was fun, and it was fun.”

Finally, it was a little too fun. Cyrus says that she has been sober for a few years now.

“How did sobriety affect you?” I asked.

“Well, I like to present myself 100%, 100% of the time,” replied Cyrus. “The most difficult part to balance, you know, all kinds of consumption of substances or to drink when you want to do what I do is that you are going,” okay, well, now I have to become sober for this thing, “because I want to be my best.” And now I can cut a large part of the preparation to put you in the right place mentally and physically. “”

Something for which she was ready: “Flowers”, the largest single pop in 2023, and her biggest record to date.

She was also ready for this: her first two Grammys, for the best solo pop performance and the record of the year, for “Flowers”. Accept the Grammy, she said, “This price is incredible, but I hope it doesn’t change anything, because my life was good yesterday.”

For Miley Cyrus, today also looks good.

“Sunday Morning” joined her this summer at the million dollar theater in Los Angeles, where she was shooting a clip for the luxury version of “Something Beautiful”. The song is “secrets”, and if you think it looks a bit like Fleetwood Mac, you are right: you can hear drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham on the track.

Miley sings about a white surrender flag, and her outfit is fundamentally a white flag in itself. She told us that the song is supposed to be a peace offering to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. They had been separated since the divorce of his parents in 2022.

When he was asked how he reacted when she gave him the song, Miley replied: “My father cried. You know, you don’t see your father cry a lot. But with me and my father, we have always communicated by the music with each other.”

“And are you at peace now with each other?”

“Yeah.”

And at 32, it seems that Miley Cyrus is in peace with herself.

“I think the authentic joy of doing what I want to do has always overshadowed the negatives for me,” she said. “I feel really good. And I really like who I am, and I like what I do with my life. And I think that if I was outside of me, I would like to be part of what I do in any way.
