Mayor’s assault is a ‘tipping point’ | Urban Legend with Kevin Sheehan (Video)

Violent crime in New York affects Mayor Eric Adams. One of his aides, Christopher Baugh, was robbed at gunpoint while searching for Hizzoner near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The attack on two men happened in broad daylight on a weekday in a place without cameras. Our host Kevin Sheehan called it a « tipping point » when a member of the mayor’s team is targeted for not « walking around with armed guards ».
It comes as the Big Apple has seen a 30-year spike in crime. Major crimes are up 37.8% from a year ago, according to the NYPD. Mayor Adams’ new press secretary, Fabien Levy, said in a statement, « Chris [Baugh] works hard for the city every day, and he deserves to be safe in the line of duty, like all other New Yorkers.
