Massachusetts woman suspected of triple murder-suicide of family members wrote cryptic message on Facebook

A Massachusetts woman suspected of committing a triple murder-suicide earlier this week reportedly wrote a Facebook post accusing her brother-in-law and father of abusing other family members.

Khosay Sharifi, 31, on Tuesday killed his father, Mohammad Sharifi, 66, his brother-in-law, Sanjar Halin, 34, and his brother-in-law’s father, Abdul Halin, 56, before shooting himself in the head, according to the police.

Her father and brother-in-law were found dead in a house on Rockaway Street in Lynn, Massachusetts, while her brother-in-law’s father was found in his car not far away. Sharifi’s body was also found nearby in her car outside a supermarket.

That same day, Sharifi, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, filed the abuse charges on Facebook, according to the Boston Globe.

« Several months ago I found out that my sister had been abused by her husband for 14 years (since they first met), » Sharifi wrote. « He shocked her, slapped her, kicked her, insulted her and most recently a year and a half ago punched her in the face. »

She claimed her parents and her brother-in-law’s parents knew about the alleged abuse « all these years but didn’t really do much but said ‘get it sorted’.

Officials say the 31-year-old suspect died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

She added: « How long did he think he would get away with it? They don’t realize that abuse can affect someone not only physically but also mentally. No form of abuse is acceptable. «

She also claimed that her father abused her mother « verbally but mostly financially ».

Khosay Sharifi, 31, wrote in his Facebook post, « I will not deal with this nonsense » before the alleged killings and his suspected suicide.

At the end of the post, she cryptically wrote, « I won’t deal with this nonsense. »

His post makes no reference to the impending shooting and police have not officially linked him to any motive.

The Sharifi family wrote on a page raising funds for their funeral: « We have lost four loved ones in devastating and unforeseen circumstances. »

The post talks about mental health, adding, « Our family has been victimized by this scenario, and now two young children are fatherless. We are absolutely traumatized, heartbroken and lost. »
