Mariah Carey Says Halloween Is Officially Over As She Gets Into The Christmas Spirit: ‘It’s About Time’

Mariah Carey has officially thawed out.

The so-called ‘Christmas Queen’ took to social media at the end of Halloween as she welcomed November 1st with a fun seasonal post.

The 5-time Grammy winner, 52, shared a 30-second clip to her Twitter and Instagram accounts, in which she was seen riding a Peloton bike while wearing Halloween gear.

As the calendar shifts to November 1, Carey is instantly seen dressed in festive attire as the opener to her signature Yuletide track « All I Want For Christmas Is You » plays in the background.

« It’s time, » she teases in the clip, officially marking the end of spooky season and the unofficial start of party season.

The hit song has already found its way back into the US iTunes Top 100 just hours after midnight.

The singer is set to kick off her festive « Merry Christmas Everyone » mini-tour next month, which consists of a total of four shows taking place in New York and Toronto.

The extravaganza was originally scheduled to take place for two dates, however, the singer has added some additional performances starting December 9 in Toronto, where she will also perform on December 11.

She will then travel to New York for two performances at Madison Square Garden on December 13 and 16.

Carey and Christmas have become synonymous over the past 28 years, thanks to the release of her album « Merry Christmas » in 1994, which sold over 15 million copies worldwide.

The album contains « All I Want For Christmas Is You » – perhaps the most famous holiday hit in modern history. The celebratory anthem reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 2019 and 2020. In 2020, the song also broke Spotify’s record for most daily streams, with the track streamed 17.223 million times in 24 hours.

« All I Want For Christmas Is You » reportedly earned Carey more than $2 million in royalties on Spotify alone, according to a 2019 CNN report.
