Man severed in head in random machete attack: Chilliwack RCMP – BC


Chilliwack, BC RCMP are looking for a man charged with an unprovoked machete attack early Friday morning.

The attack was reported around 5am and is believed to have taken place around Meadowbrook Drive.

According to police, the suspect approached the 37-year-old victim brandishing a machete, « which he used to attack the victim by chopping off his head. »

The victim told police she did not know the suspect and believed he had been randomly targeted.

“Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have information regarding this attack, including anyone residing in the Meadowbrook Drive area who may have CCTV footage of people in the area between 4:15 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. « said the RCMP sergeant. said Krista Vrolyk in a press release.

Police are looking for a six-foot-tall man with a stocky build, dark hair and a tanned complexion.

He has a tattoo on his shoulder, potentially a crest or a sword, and was wearing a white tank top and black and white high tops, police said.
