Man seriously injured in collision between two vehicles at Baseline and Merivale

A man was transported to the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus Friday in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service said they received the call at 10:55 a.m. for an accident between an SUV and a pickup truck at the intersection of Merivale and Baseline roads.

The man’s injuries are considered life-threatening, paramedics said.

Four other people were treated, but their injuries were considered minor.

Roads in the area remain closed for the police investigation.
