The initial 911 call related to an altercation between a man and a woman where the woman was stabbed, police said on Twitter immediately afterwards.

But when officers arrived at the scene, they found three injured people inside a white Lexus SUV that had jumped the curb in the southbound lanes and come to a stop on the curb.

A man and a woman in the vehicle had no vital signs.

“Paramedics surrendered…and despite lifesaving measures at the scene, two were pronounced dead,” said Insp. Roger Desrochers told CP24 at the scene.

He said the third person in the vehicle – another man – was arrested with minor injuries.
