Macau casinos to reopen on Saturday after Covid-19 shutdown

Macau Gambling Center casinos will be allowed to reopen on Saturday after nearly two weeks of closure amid a Covid-19 outbreak, the government says.
The citywide lockdown that began July 11 was the first shutdown of casinos in Macau since the early days of the pandemic in 2020. The government said most non-essential industries, businesses and sites would be allowed in to reopen from Saturday to July 30.
