Albertville, ala. (WHNT) – For their victory over the Grissom Tigers and the first victory in more than three years, the Aggies Albertville won the team of the week.
The 20-18 victory managed a losing skid of 33 games and scored the first victory of the Adam Winegarden era.
“I am really proud of the team and the way they progressed throughout the year, to see them improve slowly as the year,” said Winegarden. “”
Cooper Scott said the team knew before the match with Grissom that the team knew it was the week to beat the sequence.
“It was crazy, you know, we were all, all the week that we all said as if it was the week, you know that we have to get there this week, you know the bus journey, you know that we were all like that did not feel real,” said Scott. “We return to town, you know, the whole city launched the parade, I just thank God, guy, it was crazy.”
Cooper said the victory had given confidence to the team.
It was crazy, guy, it was a surreal feeling, “said Scott.” We worked continuously all this summer. The Winegarden coach entered and gave us a new attitude concerning life and football. “”
The Aggies have the week of leave before taking Huntsville on October 10.
