Luge Canada is the latest Canadian sport organization to join Abuse-Free Sport

Luge Canada has joined Abuse-Free Sport, the federal government’s new independent program to prevent and address abuse in sport.
Luge Canada is the latest national sport federation to join the program after allegations of sexual misconduct and other abuse rocked organizations like Hockey Canada and Gymnastics Canada.
The national organization will have access to the services of the new Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner (OSIC), which serves as a hub for abuse-free sport, after a transition period ending no later than February 2, 2023.
Luge Canada also fully embraces the University Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Abuse in Sport (UCCMS).
Sledding participants who have experienced or witnessed abuse will have access to the organization’s independent third-party services until February 2.
