LRT closed between Clareview and Belvedere after train hit cyclist

LRT service between two north side stations has been suspended after a cyclist was hit by a train on Monday afternoon.
The Edmonton Police Department reported around 3:45 p.m. that they were investigating a collision. North and South trains between Clareview and Belvedere stations along the Capital Line will be closed « for the immediate future ».

In an update posted on social media, the Edmonton Transit Service said replacement bus service is operating between Clareview and Coliseum stations « due to an unforeseen incident. »
No details have yet been released on the cyclist’s condition.
