‘Love Is Blind’ star Shayne Jansen ‘broken’ as he mourns his mother’s death

Reality TV star Shayne Jansen said he was « broken inside » by the death of his beloved mother, Karen Jansen.

The 33-year-old ‘Love Is Blind’ star shared the devastating news on Instagram on Thursday, saying the two were « inseparable ».

« I lost my best friend today, » Shayne wrote alongside a series of snaps of the pair. “For a year, we have been inseparable. Coffee every morning at ‘Schitt’s Creek’ every evening. I’m broken inside but I know I can live with no regrets knowing we did it all together.

« I can never replace my FaceTime partner on a daily basis, » he added.

The Chicago-based TV star thanked her followers « for the support » during the difficult time.

It wasn’t long before Jansen’s castmates paid tribute to Karen, whom they had met several times during their time on the Netflix dating show.

« Sending you love. I’m so sorry, » co-host Vanessa Lachey wrote, before her husband Nick Lachey, who co-hosts the show with her, added, « So sorry bro …. »

‘Love Is Blind’ star Shaina Hurley, who was romantically linked to Jansen during the show, wrote, « We are praying for you and your Shayne family, we are here for you. »

Abhishek Chatterjee, better known as “Shake” on the show, wrote, “She treated us all like her own sons. She will be greatly missed.”

Costar Deepti Vempati commented, « Sending you love, » before Danielle Ruhl added, « Thinking of you and sending you love. »

Nick Thompson wrote: « I’m here if you need anything. I am sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love. »

Jansen rose to fame on season 2 of « Love Is Blind » and got engaged to fellow cast member Natalie Mina Lee on the show. However, the couple did not end up getting married in the final after Lee, 29, rejected Jansen at the altar.
